The German-Colombian Institute of Culture in Cartagena offers cultural activities (every thursday free movies at the CineClub in Casa Bolivar in Calle San Agustin in El Centro) and courses in German for different levels. You can arrange spanish classes here as well (individual or in groups - prices of the lessons depend on how many students want to take in the course).

CCCA accepts interns and there are almost always two of them working here. Interns can help organizing events and assist in the cultural work of the institution in general as well as they can give German classes and assist in communication courses. Furthermore they help out with the translation work of the CCCA. For more information about the internship program in Cartagena see the website of the University of Mainz, Alemania or send and email or ask the director of the CCCA.

Interns stay for a minimum of one trimester, what is three month, but itīs better if you have six month. To work as an intern here, you will need a "visa especial cooperante o voluntario". For more information see the Colombian embassy in Berlin or the Colombian embassy in Texas. The work is not paid, but itīs possible to receive a DAAD scholarship, you have to apply by yourself but the CCCA will help you as they can to arrange this.
